Privacy Policy

I Got Your Back is a private-memory app for capturing, organizing, and recalling information you choose to save. This policy explains how the Android and iOS apps and their supporting service handle personal information.

Information you choose to provide

We process account information, including your email address and display name. If you use Google Sign-In, we process the verified Google account identifier, email address, and name returned by Google. We process the recordings and audio files you record or import, text memories, photos you take or select, and information derived from those items: timestamped transcripts, summaries, tags, extracted people, dates, tasks, locations, objects, reminders, and semantic-search vectors.

How we use information

We use account data to authenticate you and separate your private memory account from other users. We use the memories you save to provide playback, source timestamps, organization, reminders, and AI-assisted recall. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.

Recording and camera choices

The microphone is used only when you choose to record. You are responsible for obtaining any permission or consent required before recording or importing another person’s audio. The camera and photo library are used only when you choose to capture or select an image to save with a memory.

AI processing and service providers

I Got Your Back uses Cloudflare Workers for its API, D1 for account and memory records, R2 for original audio and image files, Vectorize for semantic-search vectors, and Workers AI for transcription, summaries, extraction, and embeddings. Google provides Google Sign-In when you choose that sign-in method. Apple processes optional iOS subscriptions and payment transactions through the App Store; we receive and store only the verified subscription status and transaction identifiers needed to provide Pro access. These services process information only to provide the functionality described here.

Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Cloudflare documents encryption in transit and at rest for the D1 and R2 services used by this app. Original media is stored privately; playback uses short-lived, access-controlled links. I Got Your Back is not an end-to-end encrypted service.

Retention and deletion

We retain your account and saved memory data until you delete an individual memory or delete your account. Deleting a memory removes its application records, associated source file, and search vectors. Deleting an account removes its account record, recordings, imported files, photos, transcripts, summaries, extracted details, reminders, and search vectors from the active application systems. Provider backup or security-retention processes may retain limited residual copies for a period required by their operations or law.

Your choices

You can delete individual memories in the app. You can permanently delete an account from Settings or at /delete-account without reinstalling the app. Account deletion cannot be undone.
